This course is essentially suitable for everyone in age, from an older teenager through a person of early retirement age. It would be to your advantage, though not mandatory, to have a general knowledge of breed recognition. Also, having a basic understanding of the grooming process is useful, but not required. Any previous hair style/cutting experience (child, spouse etc.) is helpful, but again, not a prerequisite. Most professional groomers do not start out with an inborn, natural talent. The majority must first learn the skills and then repeatedly practice their skills to achieve perfection.

You’ll be watching and listening as you walk through the various stages of the grooming process for over 8 hours of training. It’ll seem as though you are with us in person. This is non-stop training …no filler music or blank running video.
On video we show you exactly how to hold the dogs and tools so that you will be able to handle them both successfully. All steps and stages of the coat grooming’s are clearly defined for the safety and well being of the dog.
Pet care is a steadily growing career field, with dogs being the largest sector. The need exceeds the demand for professionally skilled dog groomer positions. If you enjoy working with your hands and being creative, I’m offering you, through my course, the opportunity to turn your love for dogs into a lucrative, well paid career, that offers multiple possibilities.
Although the course is very thorough, situations can arise where a helpful word of knowledge or encouragement is needed.
There is no way for me to know if you are having difficulties or questions unless you contact me.
I am only a phone call/text message or email away. As my apprentice I wish to work as close as
necessary to make your experience a positive one.
I will even spot check your grooming via a texted photo, if desired.
This may not be your own personal goal…or it may be the perfect goal!
Either way, a portion of the training manual is dedicated to analyzing, planning and setting up your own shop.

Once the course is complete with the submission of your photos , open-book test packet and my completed evaluation, all materials are returned back to you.
